Administered multiple LMS operations as well as reformatted and designed LMS and pre-existing courses to be PBS KIDS branded with published learning objects authored by internal and external educational content providers.
- Published more than 200 courses for PreK-12 educators that met or exceeded accreditation requirements
- Collaborated with 8 PBS member stations to address state-specific accreditation requirements for more than 1.5M educators to fulfill their state professional development requirements
- Designed PBS KIDS branded printable 1-pagers as cross-platform resources enabling branding to be shared within classrooms as well as assets to be shared across PBS Educational websites, e.g. PBS Learning Media and PBS Parents
- Trained 8 content authors to use tools and improve work which increased productivity 400% and enabled content authors to publish their own visions of professional development resources directly
- Collaborated with backend programmers to enhance LMS functionality which enabled completion data to be sent into the PBS Education platform from the LMS as well as enabling custom certificates to be built to serve specific state needs
- Recommended improvements for observed shortcomings in regards to diversity, equity, and/or inclusivity (DEI) which triggered the PBS KIDS designers to create a variety of PBS KIDS of color which are being used as interstitials for television and offered PBS designers system-wide to have a more diverse selection of PBS KIDS to choose from for print
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, content writers, and DEI reviewers to create digital and accessible learning experiences resulting in 10 Learning Paths averaging 9 microlearning objects per path and a revamping of 9 self-paced courses to fit into the Learning Path format
Senior Associate, Web Technologist – PBS TeacherLine
Managed operation of multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS), creating and/or publishing of media and authored content to support the professional development needs for PreK-13+ educators nationally.
- Produced and maintained a portfolio, including 55 facilitated and self-paced courses with personal attention to diversity, equity, and/or inclusivity (DEI).
- Planned LMS improvements or additional functionality with internal and external technology teams which allowed the LMS to send data to the TeacherLine platform, enabling reporting and the ability to dynamically send needed data to external credit providers
- Collaborated with internal and external technology teams to conduct quality assurance on products pre- and post-launch why?
- Served as liaison between PBS TeacherLine 6 affiliate PBS stations, 9 colleges and universities, and 24 course facilitators to validate learners’ fulfillment of state’s professional development requirements ensuring learner accreditation matched their completion data on their transcripts to submit to their school districts and/or state Departments of Education
- Led client relations services for PBS TeacherLine’s suite of 35 – 55 digital learning products (dependent on term), averaging 45 tickets per day and 2-hour turnaround
